22nd Feb 2011	LATEST  UPDATE:    The ABNA have now recieved the  2 outstanding show reports from the  "BAA SHOW DES LOUVES 5 - 2010 event in France". The ABNA Points list will be updated over the next 2 weeks to include results from this show. The ABNA will  be conducting some important upgrades and updates to the ABNA Database and Website to be completed and in place before the start of the years show season ..... Upon completion the ABNA website will then reflect up to date points list standings from 2010 returned show results &  up to date ABNA Titles status/s, lists pages .... Upon completion of this along with changes to other areas that are to also be addressed then the ABNA will be in a position where it will be viable in the future to update results and points lists from shows and events as soon as the ABNA are in receipt of all required paperwork from a show after a show has taken place. In the meantime if you have any queries concerning the points lists then please bring them to the attention of an ABNA representative in your area a list of reps by area can be viewed on the ABNA reps page of this website, and they will be happy to look into it further on your behalf. Thank-You for your patience while we are conducting these necessary upgrades and updates.
JANUARY 2011	LATEST  UPDATE:   We apologise for the delays in updating the show points lists in 2010. We have identified a number of issues with our current system and software, but would like to reassure all ABNA show hosts, and show supporters that we are currently in the process of upgrading these and will have resolved these issues for the start of the 2011 show season enabling points and status updates to once again be online soon after an event. Thank You all for your patience and support.   The ABNA Show Points Listings have now  been updated from all received show reports in Europe up to the start of January 2011 All relevant details can be viewed online at a dogs relevant point listing page including current status of titles, however all lists on the  WCD/GRCH./GRCH./CH/JRCH  web pages will be updated soon. Over the coming weeks all the web profile requests received will also be put online & linked up, and any requests for relevant certificates will also be issued.   The ABNA are still awaiting 2 show reports from the  "BAA SHOW DES LOUVES 5  -  2010 event in France". 22nd Jan 2010	IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REVISIONS / CHANGES TO POINTS SYSTEM for 2010 with immediate effect: INTRODUCTION OF EXHIBITION ONLY ABNA GRAND CHAMPION CLASS:   Adult Grand Champions Class ~ Exhibition Class Only ~ (New for 2010) Those dogs having earned ABNA adult Grand Championships status will be eligible to compete in the Adult Grand Champions Class ~ Exhibition Class Only. Grand Champion males and females of either type will compete together. Each dog will be judged by the breed standard relevant to their type. There is only a single winner. Exhibition Class Only. - Wins in this class will be recorded on the ABNA points list only.
22nd Jan 2010	IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REVISIONS / CHANGES TO POINTS SYSTEM for 2010 with immediate effect: ADULT MAJOR WINS - CHAMPIONSHIP REQUIREMENTS:   Adult Championship Requirements (Changes / Revision 2010 - Retroactive to include 2007 and onwards show results ) Before earning adult champion status, a dog must complete one of the following. A dog will become an adult champion based on whichever of the two (2) methods of adult championship below is attained first: 1.) Adult Major Win A. ) Dog must earn at least TWO adult major wins, whereby each win earned is as Best Male or Best Female Adult over a minimum of 15 dogs in their respective classes or Best In Show Adult or All Around Best in Show Adult over a cumulative total of 15 dogs. The two adult major wins must be achieved at two different shows and under two different Judges. For example: A show where there are 2 shows on the same day then a dog cannot earn a major win for Best Male or female and another major win for Best in show overall where both are at the first show on that day, as they must be at separate shows. B. ) A total of 100 points is required for an ABNA Championship.   2. Adult Major Win A.) Dog must earn at least THREE adult major wins, whereby each win earned is as Best Male or Best Female Adult over a minimum of 10 dogs in their respective classes or Best In Show Adult or All Around Best in Show Adult over a cumulative total of 10 dogs. The three adult major wins must be achieved at three different shows and under three different Judges. For example: A show where there are 2 shows on the same day then a dog cannot earn a major win for Best Male or female and another major win for Best in show overall where both are at the first show on that day, as they must be at separate shows. B.) A total of 100 points is required for an ABNA Championship.   PLEASE NOTE: For those Adult Dogs who had already earned the adult major win as detailed below prior to the introduction of the Changes / Revision 2010, then the following Adult Championship Requirements below applies to those dogs ONLY; At least one major win (when attained ONLY at an ABNA show prior to 2010) as Best Male or Best Female over a minimum of twenty dogs in their respective adult classes or Best In Show or All Around Best in Show over a cumulative total of twenty adult dogs will be classed as already having earned their adult major win requirement towards the ABNA Adult Championship major requirements, and will therefore not have to earn any additional adult major wins introduced in 2010 under the changed / revised adult championship major requirements system. However, a total of 100 points is still required for an ABNA Adult Championship to be awarded.

1st July 2008	*1st JULY 2008 - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Revision / Changes to ABNA points system Re: 1(b) championship requirements 1st July2008 - With immediate effect the ABNA will no longer accept points for transfer (re: the "Championship requirements" 1(b) ) from other registries events/shows held after the 1st July 2008. - The ABNA will continue to accept requests until the 31st December 2008 to transfer points (re: the "Championship requirements" 1(b) ) from those events/shows which were held before the 1st July 2008 - After the 31st December 2008, 1(b) re points transfers in the championship requirements will No longer be available as an option in the ABNA points system.   Please ensure that any request to transfer points earned from other accepted registries events / shows (RE: Championship Requirements 1(b)) which were held before July 1st 2008 are submitted before 31st Dec 2008. After this date no more points transfer requests will be accepted, and the points transfer option (1b) will be removed from the ABNA points system Championship requirements. 17th Aug 2007	The ABNA are proud to announce that the following people have been certified as ABNA Junior Judges: Ray Barrera - USA Mike Silber - Germany Nancy Schwarzer - Netherlands   ~ PLEASE NOTE: The ABNA Judges Committee is currently reviewing and updating, the criteria, rules, & procedures regarding ABNA Judges, and the ABNA Judges Apprentice Program. The ABNA welcome and encourage all current ABNA apprentices to carry on with their apprenticeships at ABNA Shows & Events, and also welcome new applications from those people wishing to apply to become an ABNA Judge via an Apprentice Program. HOWEVER the confirmation and announcing of any further certified judges has now been suspended until further notice. ~ Please forward any questions / queries regarding the above statement to the ABNA Judges Committee Chairman plus any requests for an Apprentice judge application form.

26th Jan 2007	IMPORTANT ABNA ANNOUNCEMENT:   The ABNA proudly announces a new domain name for it's website! Please visit www.abna-info.com for all your International and US show information. All currently sanctioned shows are listed - there are many more shows in the works so check back often! There is an unfortunate situation that the American Bulldog community needs to be aware of concerning this new website and domain name. The ABNA is made up of volunteer officers and representatives. Robert Vos has been a show host, representative and officer of the ABNA for many years. As such, he volunteered to pay for and provide the ABNA with a website and domain. Mr. Vos resigned from the ABNA in 2006 while a vote had begun to remove him for various infractions of our rules including improper record keeping and the failure to send in complete show reports. He recently decided to deny the ABNA's executive board access to the site and further to make changes to the site without approval of the ABNA. We advise everyone to take note that the web site www.abna-info.com is the only official ABNA web site and to please remove any links to the old site. We are saddened that Mr. Vos will not transfer the ownership of the site/name to the ABNA which would allow us to serve the AB community with continuity, and is making changes to the old site in an attempt to upset the smooth running of the ABNA. We are sorry for any inconvenience or confusion that this change may cause to the American Bulldog Community. In our opinion, the greatest asset of the ABNA is that we are a collective voting body of volunteers and can make decisions that will have a positive affect on the breed as a whole. Unfortunately, being composed of a voting body of volunteers, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. However this link has now been removed. 22nd Jan 2007	ABNA BOARD OF REPRESENTATIVES ANNOUNCEMENT: By a majority vote decision of the ABNA Board of Representatives...   The ABNA have added an additional official class to the ABNA Conformation Points System for 2007.....   All Around Best In Show ~ Puppy  (New for 2007) The Best In Show Standard Puppy dog will compete against the Best In Show Classic Puppy dog for "All Around Best In Show Puppy" with the winner receiving ten additional points. The All Around Best In Show Puppy will be judged by the: Classic judge, the Standard judge and a third judge, with each judge having one vote, majority rules. *If a third judge is not available then a decision must be agreed upon between both judges as to determine the winner. *If the show is judged by one judge then this judge will judge the class and determine the winner. A win over a cumulative 15 dogs in the All Around Best in Show Puppy class also constitutes a major win. This class may also be termed Best of Breed Puppy.
